Horse Back Riding Or Polo?
The Casa De Campo stables are ready and equipped to receive large groups for horseback riding and jumping, and over 80 Polo horses, all of them maintained in the utmost shape, making it a field day for the sport lover. There are expert staff members available for lessons on English or western style ridding, jumping, dressage and Polo. If you wish to learn grooming techniques, rodeo stunts or just sign up for a hilarious game of donkey polo, all are available upon request. Private riding lessons for individuals or groups are also available.

Scenic romps include a one-hour golf course ride, a two-hour ride through the tropical trails that meet the Chavón River and two three-hour advanced rides; one through the sugarcane fields all the way to the cane-cutter's village, and the other a ride outside of the main resort at Rancho Peligro (a reservation three days ahead is required).

For children, rides are available on Anita, Juanito and Miguelito, the center's three ponies. Special private trail rides can also be arranged.

If you seek the thrill of polo, Casa de Campo provides three playing fields, one practice field and the largest string of polo ponies under a single brand in the world, you have to seek no further considered the best in the Caribbean, the only requirement is enjoying the rigorous and engaging sport. Equipment, group instruction and personalized training are available for beginners and medium-goal players. Guests may reserve ponies for stick and ball tournaments and families can compete versus each other in matches held each week.

Regular polo matches are played throughout the week during the season, which commences in early November and ends in April. Domestic cups and international tournaments are organized during the season and all teams are encouraged to register and participate..

Dress-code regulations: long pants and closed shoes are required to ride at the center. Children must be over seven years old or possess prior riding experience.
